I no longer take my bike to a bike mechanic. i take it to a doctor. be it a clinical visit or a delicate surgery. doesn’t matter. i park my car and Matt Caruso is already walking towards me to get my bike. and then the spectacle begins. in a mesmerizing combination of fast motion examinations and moves, tools appear and disappear in front of my eyes. surgery is complete. this guy knows what he does! Caruso Cycle Works thank you for your excellence!

Haven't taken a spin yet due to crazy schedule, but will in a few days...! THANK YOU! "I’m fairly new to Albuquerque cycling and needed a whip-smart bike mechanic to help me upgrade my 5-year old Cannondale SuperSix EVO. A cycling friend of mine strongly recommended I contact Matt Caruso and my experience from Day 1 was nothing short of excellent. Matt ‘s knowledge and detail-oriented approach in bike maintenance is unparalleled. He is a cyclist first and foremost and “gets it”. Based on my interactions with a variety of bike mechanics, elsewhere, Matt is clearly tops in his profession because he approaches his work as an objective consultant to the customer. After several conversations with me and patiently listening to exactly what I wanted to accomplish, Matt transformed my EVO into the dream bike I always envisioned in my mind. He suggested the exact componentry and wheelset necessary to make my road bike perform to the level I needed; he always gave a pro/con perspective if another idea came into the fold. Matt’s superior attention to detail, enthusiasm, extraordinary customer-service, and fair pricing make him my mechanic of choice going forward. It’s like having a personal mechanic. He’s the trusted advisor every cyclist needs and for that reason alone, I can’t recommend Matt highly enough. He’s a real deal professional."

I'd heard about Matt from some buddies and decided to take my road bike in for a tuneup. Within the first couple of minutes Matt spotted several problems that I was unaware of and were affecting the bikes performance and my riding. He's a talented mechanic with a world of knowledge and experience. Picking it up after a couple of hours he showed me several other problems he had spotted and fixed while checking things out further. All in all it was the best tuneup I've ever had done on a bike!

After taking my bike to Matt, I rode one of my standard routes, and I finished it a full 10 minutes faster than the last time I rode that route. Thanks, Matt!

Matt is the best mechanic in town, no question. He notices things I never would have thought of, and really goes over the bike in great detail and in a very short span of time! He understands that cyclist don't like to be told "we'll have it ready next week" when going in for a simple tune up. Same day service is awesome!

Matt did a bike build for me on somewhat short notice. He used the parts that I provided that were taken off another frame. When I got it back (2 hours later!!) my shifting was superb and my front derailleur micro-shifted flawlessly; something that it had never done before! ABQ cyclists are lucky to have a professional bike mechanic who is so easily accessible. Thanks Matt.
